Week-End Chair

Six and a half pounds of folded aluminium, stackable six deep, and rated for a terrace that never comes indoors.

Studio Brichet-Ziegler drew the Week-End collection for Petite Friture in 2017, cutting the shell from sheet aluminium and folding it into horizontal slats. A matte textured epoxy paint with UV-resistant coating is the finished surface — no oiling, no covers, no annual sanding. Sold as a set of two.

Can it live outdoors year-round?
Yes. Aluminium does not rust and the UV-resistant epoxy coating is rated for outdoor use, so the chair stays out through the season without covers or oiling.

Does it stack?
Six high. At 6.6 lb each, a set of four moves off a terrace and into storage in one trip.

How many chairs do I get?
Two. Week-End Chairs are sold as a set of two in a single color, which pairs cleanly with the 33.5 in square table or scales to eight around the rectangular one.

Petite Friture is a French design editor founded by Amélie du Passage in Paris in 2009, known for collaborations with Constance Guisset, Studio BrichetZiegler and Pia Chevalier. In-stock items ship within 5 business days. Out-of-stock and backorder pieces typically have an 8 to 14 week lead time from the Petite Friture atelier; we will confirm timing at order. Orders are fulfilled Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Week-End collection carries a 5-year structural warranty against manufacturing defects.

Care Guide +

Year-round outdoor. Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soapy water; rinse and air dry. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach, ammonia or solvent cleaners which can dull the matte powder coat. For salt-air or chlorine exposure, rinse with fresh water monthly. Touch-up paint is available from Petite Friture in matching RAL codes. No oiling, sanding or annual maintenance required — the anti-UV grained powder coat is the finished surface.
