Tina Schmidt carved a skyline into travertine and gave it a job: keeping your magazines upright.
The Copenhagen designer's Mountain series abstracts mountain ridgelines into stone objects of presence and calm — this one scaled up into a magazine holder. Cut from solid light grey travertine, it corrals coffee-table books and weekend reading beside the sofa, the heaviest-duty piece among the WOUD collection's desk objects.
