Altura Step Stool/Side Table
Named for the Spanish word for height, Patricia Perez's two-tier oak stool earns four jobs in one.
The Altura Step Stool by Patricia Perez for Case stacks two solid-oak tiers into a form that works as step stool, side table, nightstand, or plant stand. Solid oak and oak-veneered plywood with solid edging keep it light enough to carry between rooms, finished in a clear polyurethane lacquer.

Common Questions
Can I stand on the Altura Step Stool?
Yes — it is built as a working step stool. Avoid stepping on it in shoes, which can mark the veneered top surface.
Does it need assembly?
No. It arrives fully assembled and, at 13.2 pounds, moves easily from kitchen to bedroom to bathroom.
What else is it used for?
The two tiers make it a natural nightstand, side table, or plant stand — the lower level holds books or a second pot while the top stays clear.
