Earth Stool with Backrest

A curved backrest joins Eva Harlou's press-molded coffee-waste seat, adding support for longer counter sessions.

Like the original Earth Stool, the seat is Matek — coffee shells from roaster BKI bound with recycled post-consumer waste — on a gunmetal powder-coated steel frame, and this version diverts about 1,830 grams of waste. It extends the most sculptural silhouette in our Mater collection into all-evening seating.

The backrest. Both share Eva Harlou's Matek seat of coffee-shell waste and recycled post-consumer plastic on a steel frame; this version adds lumbar support and diverts about 1,830 grams of waste per stool.

Which height should I order?
Choose the 27.2-inch seat for kitchen counters around 36 inches and the 29.1-inch seat for bar counters of 40 inches or more, keeping about 10 inches of clearance under the counter.
