Eternity Swivel Chair With Wheels
Space Copenhagen's Eternity shell on casters, molded from Matek, Mater's composite of coffee-shell waste and recycled plastic.
The soft shell recycles post-consumer e-waste plastic with coffee-shell or wood waste, and it sits on a five-star base of 96 percent recycled aluminum, polished or black-painted, mounted on casters that roll between tasks. Mater, the Copenhagen design house founded in 2006, makes it in Denmark from Matek pressed in a hydropower-run facility and calls it the office chair of the series. Each Eternity piece diverts about 4,330 grams of waste, and this is the one to choose for full days at a desk in our Mater collection.

Common Questions
Does it work as a home-office desk chair?
Yes. Mater builds this version specifically for office use: a five-star base of 96 percent recycled aluminum on casters, with an 18.9-inch seat that pairs with standard-height desks and dining tables.
What is Matek made of?
Matek is Mater's patented composite. It binds recycled fiber waste, coffee shells or wood waste depending on the color, with recycled plastic from post-consumer e-waste. Each Eternity piece diverts about 4,330 grams.
Does the seat height adjust?
No. The seat is fixed at 18.9 inches and the chair swivels and rolls but does not raise or lower, so measure your desk before ordering. There is no tilt mechanism either.
