J147 Armchair - Beige

Made for long stretches of reading, this lounge chair trades the range's spoked armrests for simpler, quieter lines.

Erik Ole Jørgensen designed the J147 as the reserved member of his 1978 family for FDB Møbler: spoke back, plain armrest rails, nature lacquered oak. MLF fabric in Beige 61 keeps the whole chair in the same soft register as the pale frame.

Materials

Nature lacquered oak frame; MLF fabric upholstery, Beige 61

Dimensions

24.8 in W x 25.2 in D x 31.3 in H; 17.6 lbs

Designer

Erik Ole Jørgensen, 1978

Care

Vacuum with a soft brush attachment; blot spills immediately

Common Questions

Is this the same chair as the J146?
They are siblings from the same 1978 range — the J147 has simpler armrests without spokes and a narrower 24.8 in frame, while the J146 carries full spoked armrests at 33.9 in wide.

How do I keep beige upholstery looking fresh?
Vacuum the Beige 61 fabric regularly with a soft brush attachment, blot spills instantly with a dry cloth, and rotate the loose cushions so the light fabric wears evenly.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
