J52D Bench

Børge Mogensen’s J52D is based on the comfortable Windsor Chair J52B, which quickly became a classic when it first came on the market in 1952. The bench retains the chair’s contemporary, harmonious and light-and-airy styling, with the curved line in the backrest. At the same time, the J52D is a comfortable two-seater – around the dining table or as a freestanding piece of furniture elsewhere in the home. Børge Mogensen (1914–1972) was the founding Creative Manager of FDB Møbler in 1942 and one of Denmark's most influential furniture designers. A student of Kaare Klint, he championed simple, functional, and durable wooden furniture—making beautiful design accessible to everyday families.

Part of a heritage rooted in the Danish cooperative movement, FDB Møbler is a Certified B Corporation committed to sustainable production, responsible sourcing, and designs built to last for generations.
