J67 Chair

The J67 dining table chair, made by Ejvind A. Johansson, is a piece of Danish design history that exudes as much quality today as it did back in 1957 when it was designed. It is a true classic and, when FDB Møbler was relaunched in 2013, it was also one of the four chairs that was included in the product range from the start. J67 had long been highly sought-after in auction houses. The backrest, which is the signature of the chair, provides a fine balance, light-and-airy styling and is made with a sure touch that stems from both respect for the cabinetmaker’s craft and the design ideas that have proved durable for generations.

Ejvind A. Johansson (1923–2002) was a trained carpenter who led FDB Møbler's design studio from 1956–1958. He is celebrated for his molded-back J67 dining chair, which became a modern design icon sought after by collectors worldwide.
