Tala was founded in 2015 by three Edinburgh University friends. Its London team designs and engineers its LED lighting in-house, in aluminium and brass rather than plastic, and builds it to be durable and repairable.

Oval II Plug-In Pendant combines the larger version of Tala's popular Oval bulb with the hugely popular Plug-In Pendant, ready to install straight out of the box with no hard-wiring required. Common Questions
Is the bulb included?
Yes — it ships as a complete set with the Tala LED bulb the fixture was designed around, threading into a standard E26 socket so future replacements are easy.
Do I need an electrician?
No — it is a plug-in design with a generous fabric cord. Hang it from a hook, drape it where you want light, and plug it into a normal wall outlet.
Why does the light look so warm?
Tala LEDs run at CRI 95+ with warm color temperatures — many with Dim to Warm, which drifts toward candlelight as you dim — so skin tones and materials read the way they do at golden hour.
