Paul Newman founded Case in 2005. Matthew Hilton and Terence Woodgate, both Royal Designers for Industry, have designed for it since the first collection, and it reissues Robin Day's 1964 Forum sofa with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation.

Overhang Round Side Table
Terence Woodgate cantilevered this side table so the top floats over your sofa cushion, not beside it.
Most side tables stop at the sofa's arm; Overhang's off-axis top and tapered solid-wood frame reach across the seat to put a drink or book at hand. Built with a solid oak or walnut frame and a high-pressure laminate (HPL) top, it ships flat-pack in the Case Furniture range.

Will it actually reach over my sofa?
That is the design's purpose — the cantilevered base slides toward the sofa while the 20.9-inch-high top floats over the seat cushion, suiting most standard sofa heights and low arms.
Is assembly difficult?
No — part assembly is required and clearly documented, and the flat-pack format meaningfully reduces shipping volume. Hardware is replaceable rather than disposable.
How do I maintain it?
Wipe the high-pressure laminate top and the frame with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid solvents. The laminate top needs no oil or wax.
