Paul Newman founded Case in 2005. Matthew Hilton and Terence Woodgate, both Royal Designers for Industry, have designed for it since the first collection, and it reissues Robin Day's 1964 Forum sofa with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation.

Pala 3 Drawer Chest
Sarah and Henrik Böttger cut a display trough into the top edge of this solid wood chest.
The Pala 3-Drawer Chest balances Nordic restraint with usable detail: two deep lower drawers, a shallower top drawer with an integrated divider, and gently rounded legs beneath crisp proportions. Part of the Pala collection at Case Furniture, it is finished in a matte, non-yellowing clear polyurethane lacquer.

What is the recessed groove along the top?
A narrow display trough — a place to prop artwork, photos, or a small book upright without disturbing the clean top surface. It is a signature detail of the Pala series.
How is the storage divided?
Two deep lower drawers take folded clothing and bulkier items; the shallower top drawer includes an integrated divider for small things that otherwise scatter.
Does it require assembly?
Yes — two-person assembly is required. Once built, the solid wood construction is rigid and made for decades of use.
