Unseen Large Table Lamp

Designed by Studio Pepe — the Milan-based duo of Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto, both Politecnico di Milano graduates, who founded their practice in 2006 — the Unseen collection is a modern reinterpretation of the classic neon tube, born from their spectacular "Club Unseen" installation at Salone del Mobile 2018. That installation — a conceptual private members' club in a former 19th-century warehouse at Piazza Tricolore, Milan — featured curved, glowing tubes floating in space, blurring the line between visible and invisible light. Petite Friture founder Amélie du Passage experienced it firsthand and immediately commissioned a production collection. The result is a three-layer engineering achievement: an LED source sits inside a flexible silicone tube, nested within a rigid polycarbonate outer tube chosen for its superior light-scattering properties, finished with hand-applied varnished brass overlays and painted steel hardware. The brass is not merely an accent — it frames each curved form, grounding the ethereal glow in something tangibly luxurious. Studio Pepe's accolades include Wallpaper* Design Awards (2021), Archiproducts Design Awards (2020), EDIDA (2020), and Frame Magazine Awards (2019).
Every Unseen piece delivers 660 lumens at 2700K warm white through a 7.6W integrated LED — mimicking the inviting amber of classic neon without its fragility, mercury content, or energy waste. CRI exceeds 95, meaning colors in your space appear virtually identical to natural daylight. LED lifespan: 50,000 hours. Phase-cut dimmable with compatible ELV dimmers. The collection operates as a fully modular system: individual J and O forms can be paired and reconfigured vertically or horizontally in virtually unlimited combinations, scaling from a single sculptural accent to a dramatic multi-element installation. Manufactured in France. UL Listed, IP20 rated. Where most modern neon interpretations are either purely decorative or cheaply made, the Unseen is a serious lighting system with exceptional color rendering, modular flexibility, and the kind of hand-finished brass work that elevates it far beyond novelty — every curve, proportion, and joint considered by a practice rooted in fine art, editorial aesthetics, and obsessive material quality.
