Unseen Pendant Light O

A closed ring of light, hung from a brass-framed stem — the circular half of Studio Pepe's neon alphabet.

Where the J hooks, the O completes itself. Both come from Club Unseen, the installation Studio Pepe staged at Salone del Mobile 2018 and Petite Friture turned into a production system. Construction is the same three layers: an LED strip inside flexible silicone, sheathed in rigid polycarbonate chosen for how it scatters light, with hand-applied varnished brass and painted steel. Made in France.

Common Questions

Does it need a bulb?
No. The LED is sealed inside the silicone core, delivering 660 lumens at 2700K — the warm amber of old neon, without the mercury or the fragility of glass tube.

How is it different from the J?
The O is a closed circle; the J is an open hook. They share the same output, materials and hardware, and are built to be combined in sequence or mirrored against each other.

Is it bright enough to light a room?
Not on its own. At 660 lumens it is a sculptural, atmospheric source — pair several, or run it alongside ambient lighting where the glow reads as a graphic line rather than illumination.
