Eighty years of continuous relevance — the book boxes Mogens Koch designed in 1944 still assemble into whatever their owners need.
This is the deepest of the standard B98 cases — 12.6 inches — in solid oak, nature lacquered, from FDB Møbler. Koch, a building architect and Academy professor, designed the boxes to stack, lie horizontally, or hang on the wall, and each shelf is tested to 44 lbs.

What is the 12.6-inch depth best for?
Larger formats — art books, binders, and oversized volumes that overhang shallower shelves. For standard hardcovers the 11-inch depth is usually enough, and paperbacks fit the 7.9-inch case.

Yes — wall-mounting a single case is one of the three classic B98 arrangements, alongside stacking into a bookcase and laying cases horizontally as a low shelf.
