FDB Møbler began in 1942, when Børge Mogensen set out to make furniture that was both beautiful and affordable. It still makes his designs alongside new ones, and every piece is tested at the Danish Technological Institute.

Mogens Koch sized his 1944 book boxes to combine, and the largest case scales the idea up to 28.4 inches wide.
In solid oak, nature lacquered, this B98 from FDB Møbler stands 21.3 inches high by 12.6 deep — room for taller volumes the standard cases can’t take. Like the rest of the series it stacks, lies horizontally, or mounts on the wall, each shelf tested to 44 lbs.
