Common Questions

Lacquered or oiled oak — how do I choose?
Lacquer seals the surface for wipe-clean ease and steady color; oil leaves the wood open to patinate and be refreshed. Same frame, different living philosophy.

Does the J80 pair with other Bækmark pieces?
Seamlessly — it shares its materials and lines with the J81 armchair, J82 lounge chair, and J83 stool from the same woven series.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
