FDB Møbler began in 1942, when Børge Mogensen set out to make furniture that was both beautiful and affordable. It still makes his designs alongside new ones, and every piece is tested at the Danish Technological Institute.

Woven for army horses, kept for its beauty: Denmark's famous horse-rug wool in deep blue, lumbar-sized.
The R16 Slotsholmen cushion (40 x 60 cm) in blue 100% wool descends from the cloth of The Royal Military Clothing Factory, adapted for furniture in the 1970s and woven by Danish Art Weaving since 1995. FDB Møbler revived it; OEKO-TEX certified textiles from GRS-certified suppliers.

Where does the 40 x 60 size fit?
It is the classic sofa-corner lumbar: wide enough to lean into on a 2.5- or 3-seat couch, and proportioned for armchairs with taller backs.
Is the wool scratchy?
Horse-rug wool is a dense, robust weave — more structured than a soft throw pillow — which is exactly why it survived decades on Danish furniture classics.
