R16 Slotsholmen Cushion

A small blue cushion carrying eighty years of Danish textile history on its cover.

Cut from the 100% wool horse rug of The Royal Military Clothing Factory — the cloth that upholstered a generation of Danish design classics — the R16 Slotsholmen cushion in blue pairs naturally with oak and leather furniture from FDB Møbler. Woven by Danish Art Weaving; OEKO-TEX certified textiles from GRS-certified suppliers.

Common Questions

What furniture does the blue suit?
It sings against natural oak, black frames, and cognac leather — the combinations the horse-rug fabric historically covered on Danish classics.

Is a larger size available?
Yes — the Slotsholmen series also comes in 40 x 60 cm and 50 x 50 cm formats, in red, brown, and blue wool.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
