Tom Nybroe drew Notes for Holmegaard as a tribute to Danish design and the finer notes of wine. Burgundy, red, white, and champagne each get a bowl sized to the style while sharing a single height, which is the detail you notice when four glasses stand together. Fine glass, made in Slovakia. Why is every glass the same height?
It is the design hook. Bowl volume changes with the wine style but the stems match at 10.6 in, so a mixed table reads as one clean line rather than a stepped skyline.

Which glass for which wine?
The 31.8 oz burgundy bowl for pinot noir and aromatic reds, 27.4 oz for structured reds, 21.3 oz for whites, and the narrow 12.8 oz champagne glass to hold the bead.

Are they dishwasher safe?
Holmegaard advises checking the care rating for your specific glass, since it varies across the catalog. For fine stemware at this height, hand washing is the safe default.

Founded in 1825 in southern Zealand, Holmegaard is Denmark's oldest glasshouse and one of the country's most storied design names. Each piece is mouth-blown by master glassblowers using traditions passed down for nearly two centuries, with collaborations spanning Per Lütken, Peter Svarrer and Maria Berntsen. Part of Rosendahl Design Group, a Certified B Corp committed to FSC, GOTS, GRS and OEKO-TEX standards across its supply chain.
