J81 Chair - Natural Oak

Oiled oak arms you'll rest on for decades — the J81 in the series' most age-worthy finish.

Jørgen Bækmark's armrest chair for FDB Møbler extends the woven J80 with a wider, freestanding-friendly stance. Nature-oiled oak deepens with use and takes fresh oil at home; the paper cord seat wears in alongside it.

Common Questions

How does oiled oak handle armrest wear?
Better than sealed finishes — hand contact slowly polishes oiled oak into a warm patina, and any dryness is fixed with a wipe of oil.

Is the J81 part of a matching set?
Yes — Bækmark's woven series includes the J80 side chair, J82 lounge chair, and J83 stool and bench, all sharing this oak-and-cord recipe.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
