The J146 is the armchair of Erik Ole Jørgensen's 1978 range for FDB Møbler, and the red diced wool is its most storied upholstery — a dense check descended from horse-blanket weaves. Jørgensen trained as an upholsterer before he designed furniture, and the cushions sit in the curved, nature lacquered oak frame as if grown there.
