J146 Armchair - Beige

An upholsterer designed this frame, and it shows — loose beige cushions settle into a curved oak cradle shaped around them.

Erik Ole Jørgensen's 1978 spoke-back range for FDB Møbler references the great designers who laid FDB Møbler's foundations, and the J146 is its armchair: curved back, spoked armrests, nature lacquered oak. Here it is upholstered in MLF fabric in Beige 61, the palest and most room-neutral of the fabric options.

Materials

Nature lacquered oak frame; MLF fabric upholstery, Beige 61

Dimensions

33.9 in W x 28.5 in D x 30.9 in H; 26.5 lbs

Designer

Erik Ole Jørgensen, 1978

Care

Vacuum with a soft brush attachment; blot spills immediately

Common Questions

How do I keep the beige fabric clean?
Vacuum the cushions regularly with a soft brush attachment and blot spills at once with a clean, dry cloth — rubbing works a stain into the weave. Rotating the loose cushions evens out daily wear.

Will the J146 fit a smaller living room?
It measures 33.9 in wide by 28.5 in deep — generous for an armchair, so allow clearance for the curved armrests, but the open spoke back keeps it visually light in a compact space.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
