J146 Armchair - Green

It is not without reason that the J146 spoke-back chair has been a beautiful point of reference in many Danish homes. Its curves are typical of classic Danish furniture design, and at the same time the curved armrests invite deep relaxation for the person sitting in the chair. Erik Ole Jørgensen’s range of spoke-back furniture is from 1978 and makes clear references to the other great designers who laid the foundations of FDB Møbler. Erik Ole Jørgensen had a background as both an upholsterer and a furniture designer, and perhaps this is why the interaction between cushions and furniture is especially successful here.
Erik Ole Jørgensen (1927–2002) was a furniture craftsman known for his sophisticated understanding of both construction and textiles. In 1978, he created the renowned J146, J148, and J149 seating series for FDB Møbler, featuring characteristic curved forms with oiled oak frames.
Part of a heritage rooted in the Danish cooperative movement, FDB Møbler is a Certified B Corporation committed to sustainable production, responsible sourcing, and designs built to last for generations.
