Common Questions

Will natural beech match my oak table?
Yes — pale lacquered beech reads slightly smoother and lighter than oak, and the two woods have shared Danish dining rooms since the 1950s.

Is this the original J46 finish?
Natural wood is the classic expression of the 1956 design — the painted colors came as variations on this pale, grain-visible original.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
