J149 3-Person couch - Light Grey
The interplay between cushion and frame is where Erik Ole Jørgensen — upholsterer turned designer — did his best work.
His 1978 J149 three-person couch for FDB Møbler rests loose cushions in Main Line Flax Light Grey (02) on a nature-lacquered solid oak spoke-back frame. The pale grey against pale oak makes this the most understated colorway in the series.

Common Questions
How much floor space does the J149 need?
Plan for 74.6 inches of width and 28.1 inches of depth. The open spoke-back frame keeps sight lines clear, so it suits smaller rooms better than its width suggests.
Does light grey fabric show the frame off?
Yes — Light Grey (02) is the quietest pairing with the nature-lacquered oak, letting the spoke-back silhouette rather than the color carry the design.
