J46 Chair - Coral Red

Volther gave Denmark its everyday chair in 1956; coral red gives it a grin.

A single J46 spoke-back from FDB Møbler in Coral Red (RAL 3016) — warm, bright, and water-based — on the solid beech frame that an estimated 850,000-plus Danes have pulled up to the table.

Common Questions

Where does a single red chair shine?
As a desk chair, a bedroom corner seat, or the deliberate accent in a neutral dining set — the J46's light 9.3-pound frame moves wherever the color is needed.

Is the paint finish child-friendly?
The factory finish is water-based and wipeable, applied over solid beech that shrugs off the knocks of family life.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
