J46 Chair - Natural Oiled Oak

Oak grain under natural oil — the most material-honest way to own Volther's 1956 best-seller.

This single J46 from FDB Møbler is solid oak, nature oiled — heavier grain and a refreshable finish compared with the beech versions. The spoke-back geometry is untouched: wide seat, elegant lines, everyday comfort since 1956.

Common Questions

What are the advantages of the oiled oak J46?
Pronounced grain, a finish you can renew with oil at home, and a patina that improves with years — the choice for buyers planning decades of use.

Does it match the beech J46s?
The silhouette is identical; oak simply reads slightly warmer and more figured, so mixed oak-and-beech sets still hang together.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
