Poul Volther led FDB Møbler's design studio from 1950; at home, he designed for an audience of one.

The J166 armchair is named for his wife Jørna and proportioned around her knitting — generous enough today for a laptop or tablet. This FDB Møbler version wraps the seat in Main Line Flax Brown (15) on a jet-black painted (RAL 9005) oak frame, a warm, low-contrast pairing.
