J166 Jørna Chair - Dark Blue

Midnight blue on smoked oak: Volther's armchair for his wife Jørna, dressed for evening rooms.

The J166 from FDB Møbler keeps the proportions Poul Volther drew around Jørna's knitting — needles, laptop, or novel all fit. This version deepens the palette with Main Line Flax Dark Blue (36) upholstery in a smoked, oiled oak frame.

Common Questions

How dark is this colorway in practice?
Rich rather than gloomy — Dark Blue (36) keeps a wool-toned softness, and the oiled smoked oak shows living grain instead of flat black, so light still moves across the chair.

Can one person move the Jørna easily?
Yes — at 19.4 pounds and 30.1 inches wide, it repositions in one lift, from window seat in summer to fireside in winter.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
