J166 Jørna Chair - Beige

Pale on pale: beige wool-look upholstery and natural oak make this the calmest Jørna in the series.

Poul Volther designed the J166 armchair for his wife Jørna with room for her knitting needles; the FDB Møbler chair still fits modern habits, laptop and all. Main Line Flax Beige (61) sits here in a nature-lacquered oak frame with the grain left visible.

Common Questions

Will beige fabric feel too plain?
The Beige (61) textile carries the texture here while the oak carries the warmth — an intentionally quiet chair for interiors built on naturals and soft light.

Why does the Jørna have such generous proportions?
Volther drew it around his wife's knitting — long needles needed clearance — which is why the chair comfortably holds you plus a book, tablet, or handwork today.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
