Room to knit with long needles was the brief; a compact Danish armchair classic was the result.
Poul Volther named the J166 for his wife Jørna, and its proportions still flatter whatever you bring — laptop, wool, or nothing at all. From FDB Møbler, this version pairs Main Line Flax Dark Blue (36) upholstery with a jet-black painted (RAL 9005) oak frame.

Is dark blue on black too dark?
It is the most tonal colorway in the series — Dark Blue (36) against the black frame reads rich rather than heavy, especially in rooms with pale walls or floors that give it contrast.
